Smoothie Recipes for Stupidcoyote and anyone else that wants them
Smoothie Recipes
All recipes make 16 oz. unless otherwise stated.
You can add 2 T. soy protein powder or powdered egg white protein to any of these recipes to increase the protein content. (I prefer the egg white protein b/c it doesn’t mess with the flavors of the smoothies.)
Cranberry Cooldown
1 ripe medium banana, halved
8 frozen or fresh strawberries
1 c. cranberry juice
½ c. crushed ice
Put ingredients in blender, Puree until smooth.
Note: you can add 6 oz of silken tofu, to add protein, increase juice by ¼ to ½ c. so it won’t be too thick.
Mango Madness
½ c. chopped mango
½ c. papaya
½ to 1 c. vanilla yogurt
1c. crushed ice.
Puree ingredients until smooth.
Chai Cooler
¾ c. Chai Tea, chilled
¾ c. vanilla soy milk, chilled
2 T. frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed. (can be left in the frig in a jar so you can use it again later. Just get the smallest on in the store.)
½ banana, sliced
½ crushed ice.
Blend until smooth.
Kiwi Melon Smoothie
1 kiwi, peeled & cut into 8 pieces. (fuzz is not tasty.)
1 c. honeydew melon, cubed (fresh or frozen)
6 oz. key lime yogurt
1 cup vanilla soymilk
1 T. apple juice concentrate, thawed.
½ c. crushed ice (if melon is fresh)
Blend until smooth
High Power Variation:
Increase Soymilk to 1 ½ c. and add 2 T. soy protein powder or powdered egg white protein. (available at health food store or Wegmans)
Triple Berry Blast
1 c. mixed berries, frozen
¾ c. orange juice
½ c. crushed ice
¼ c. skim milk
Puree until smooth.
High Power Variation: Add 2 T. of soy protein powder or powdered egg white protein. Increase skim milk by ¼ c.
Tropical Energizer
1 ripe med. Banana, halved
½ c. chopped pineapple
¾ c. soymilk
¼ c. lime juice
½ c. crushed ice
1 T. Honey
Puree until smooth.
Coconut and Banana Smoothie
¼ c. canned light coconut milk
1 c. vanilla soymilk, chilled
2T. frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed.
1 med. Banana, sliced
1 c. crushed ice
Blend until smooth.
High Protein Variation:
Increase milk to 1 ½ c. and add 2 T. soy protein or eggwhite protein powder
Peanut Butter Protein Power
½ ripe banana
1 t. peanut butter
½ c. frozen vanilla yogurt.
¾ c. crushed ice.
2 T. egg white protein powder
¼ to ½ c. water (depending on how thick you want it. Add slowly.)
Puree until smooth
Peach Blitz
1c. peaches, peeled and chopped
½ c. strong brewed almond spice tea
¼ c. apricot nectar (comes in single cans)
¼ c. vanilla frozen yogurt
¼ to ½ c. crushed ice.
Puree until smooth.
Classic Smoothie
1 c. frozen strawberries
1 med. Banana, halved
1 c. vanilla yogurt
1 T. Honey
1 c. crushed ice.
1/2 c. orange juice
Blend until smooth.
